Just in time for the abundance of summer produce, content creator Julia Dzafic aka @lemonstripes’ debut cookbook transports fans from her beloved blog, to a world of sumptuous recipes inspired by the bounty of her own backyard in Westport, CT.

Taking root from the home she shares with her husband Anel in Westport, the cookbook is packed with over 100 colorful, quick, healthy, easy-to-make, family-friendly, produce-driven recipes inspired by their abundant garden.

Anel aka @botanicalbosnian provides gardening tips while Julia shares classic recipes with her always colorful spin, along with innovative new ways to approach vegetables. The chapters are divided up by fresh ingredients; her simple, thoughtful approach to cooking will let your homegrown ingredients shine, and expert gardening tips from Anel will ensure that your garden is bursting with beautiful fruit, vegetables, and herbs for years
to come.

The book was developed after Anel built a beautiful giant garden on the family’s property during the pandemic and was bringing in overflowing harvests of veggies and berries daily. Julia got innovative in the kitchen to use them up without getting sick of the same recipes day in and day out.

“I quickly realized that I would have to get creative in the kitchen with all the extra produce he was bringing in seemingly every day,” noted Dzafic. “I learned how to pickle, how to make sauces, and how to use herbs in new  and exciting ways.”

As she started sharing this process with her over 100K followers she was flooded with inquiries on what to do with your garden’s bounty. “I started sharing these concoctions online and soon found myself overwhelmed with questions from readers about what to do with extra tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers” shared Dzafic. “And so this book was born.”
