Q+A
Tell us a bit about @hereforyouclothing:
We’re Here for You and our mission is simple: to provide comfort. Physically & Mentally. Only together can we reduce the stigma and start an open, honest, and vulnerable conversation. Every day, our team is dedicated to spreading one important message: YOU ARE NEVER ALONE.
What is your goal with the brand?
When you relax in our cozy hoodie, see a stranger walking down the street in our tee, or someone with a ‘here for you’ sticker on their water bottle; remember this: You are a part of this community and you are never alone. We hope that a conversation breaks out in a coffee shop from someone commenting on your hoodie, and you both leave feeling heard and seen. We are ready to normalize the conversation surrounding mental health struggles. The more we talk, the less people will struggle in silence.
What are the key pieces in the line?
Our first ever piece of clothing created was the multi-color sweatshirt. Since then we have expanded into other colors and designs. We have hoodies, crewnecks, sweatpants, t-shirts, hats, bracelets, keychains and more.
You travel across the country with the brand. Where to and why?
We’ve had the privilege of traveling to many colleges and universities. Most of them have been on the East Coast, but we hope to expand all over the US soon. Here is a list of some of them: Fairfield U, Quinnipiac, Sacred Heart, UCONN, University of Delaware, Boston University, Bryant University, Seton Hall. We most recently did a trip to south carolina and went to USC, Furman and Clemson. We did pop-up shops and mental health presentations where Ellie shares her mental health journey and how she found hope. We find it so important to visit colleges because that was a time when we both struggled the most. We hope to help others who might be struggling as well.
